St Margaret of Scotland Hospice Launches Lottery
Scottish actor Tony Roper (pictured below with Sister Rita and some of the Hospice staff) called into St Margaret of Scotland Hospice on 11 March 2013 to help launch the all new, all singing, all dancing St Margaret of Scotland Hospice Lottery!
The Hospice Lottery is a monthly draw and for a monthly entry of £5, entrants have a chance of winning one of 14 guaranteed prizes with a top prize of £2000! The first Hospice Lottery draw will take place on Friday 10th May 2013. Entrants must be 16 years or over and be a resident of Great Britain (excluding N. Ireland).
Sister Rita, Chief Executive said: “By joining the St Margaret of Scotland Hospice Monthly Lottery, members will be helping us to care and support people in their own community. Entering our monthly lottery is a great way to support the Hospice and help us to maintain the highest standards of care. We depend very much on the generosity of our friends within the community who support our events and fundraising campaigns. Our annual running costs are in excess of £4million and we must raise half of this – almost £40,000 per week ourselves. For this reason, we are looking at new ways of raising funds and we hope that by launching a Monthly Lottery it will generate a much needed regular income.”
If the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step, the journey of £40,000 can begin with one ticket.
